the rain

Primordial waters, untameable, shroud the view
In dense curtains they impose their might
And when they’ll leave, everything will have perished
Washed away by this divine cleansing
Unless the spirit opens, just for once
To embrace its bleeding projection
But where are you, wanderer?
Hiding in your dwelling, you won’t escape
Eschewing these torrents, only drawn to light?
Afraid? So remain naught
Primordial waters pour down for you
Be swept away – or immerse yourself

the altar

The earth, dull and damp
Soaked with celestial blood
Destined by the rain
A seldom trodden path
Known for ages
Through thickets and bogs
Branches swinging in the storm
Marking the face like time
The ancient journey towards
The Altar
Solve et coagula
There amidst the foothills
Matter turns into energy
Where all dimensions entangle
Solve et coagula
A final offering
Ritual of yore
Loosen spirit from body
And prepare for reintegration
Into the river

the river

Intermittent pulses
Illume the haze
Of frantic schemes
Along a horizon of wilderness
Thy dark clouds gather again
Like maenads come raging
Into our dulled spheres
Carve their way through
The sediments of time
- Wherever now shineth life
Once cometh placid death
Wherever now reigneth mountain
Once followeth vale, even sea -
Battered figures indicate
The rains of change
Twofold disguise creates illusions
Of complexity amidst entities
A harrowing scenery
I want to be apart
A relentless flow tears at
Point and room and time
Enchants matter to be part of
The river
